ABS 30% anti-static thermoplastics injection molding
Introduction:
Our client required the production of five different ABS 30% anti-static thermoplastics injection molding, all to be co-molded using only one set of molds. The parts needed to meet specific surface quality requirements, with different areas designated as either A-Level or B-Level surfaces.
A-Level Surface Requirements:
To achieve A-Level surface quality, we had to ensure the overall appearance of the processed part matched the appearance sample provided by the client. The R angle also needed to be reserved, and the mold design had to avoid ejector marks and glue feed points. Additionally, areas above the red line on both sides had to be strictly controlled as Class A surface.
B-Level Surface Requirements:
For areas below the red line, the surface quality requirement was B-Level. We had to preserve the lettering and control those areas as Class B surface.
Challenges:
Our biggest challenge was to achieve the required surface quality with the limited resources of only one set of ABS 30% anti-static thermoplastics injection molding molds. We had to ensure that the co-molding process didn’t leave ejector marks or glue feed points in A-Level surface areas while maintaining precise control over the placement of lettering and avoiding any structural defects in the B-Level surface areas.
Solution:
To address these challenges, we used advanced injection molding techniques, including precise mold temperature control and accurate thermoplastics injection molding pressure control. We also conducted a thorough analysis of the mold design to eliminate any areas that might result in ejector marks or glue feed points. By ensuring an optimal molding process, we achieved the desired surface quality and preserved the lettering on B-Level surfaces.
Conclusion:
By using a combination of advanced molding techniques and careful mold design, we were able to meet our client’s requirements for co-molding five different ABS 30% anti-static thermoplastics injection molding with a single set of molds while achieving A-Level and B-Level surface quality. Our experience and expertise in injection molding allowed us to overcome the challenges and provide a high-quality, cost-effective solution for our client.
